The 1965 U.S. Open Championship was the 65th U.S. Open played June 17-21 at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri. Gary Player won the championship in an 18-hole playoff over Kel Nagle (71 to 74). Player's first and only victory in the U.S. Open gave him the Career Grand Slam.
